Heretics Anonymous
by Katie Henry
This was a book that was hard to put down. The main character "Michael" is an atheist who was pretty much forced to go to a Catholic school. I know what your thinking an atheist attending a catholic school???? What the heck... But when he goes to school he meets multiple people who are not Catholic at all. Like Avi for instance is Jewish, but he is also gay. There is also a girl named Eden who believes in multiple gods. So a group start a society call Heretics Anonymous. This book was definitely a page turner that challenges certain facts about faith and rules that contradict themselves. The Heretics Anonymous group were playing devils advocate in majority of the book, which was awesome because reading this book it makes you wonder and want to find out more about your religion and seeing certain aspects that do not seem to add up and leaves questions in your head that completely blows your mind. I am so glad I read this book it was a breath of fresh air and also it displays how even though in this world there are many religions....we as a people are still connected regardless on what we believe and do not believe.
