Storyline: 5/5; You would think that the book where Jude and Lucy are on opposite coasts of the US would be miserable, but it was completely the opposite. I loved it the most out of all the books in the series. What a great way to end the series. Jude is drafted to the Chargers and Lucy stays behind in New York to finish school and work. They survive off of Skype calls and weekend visits every other weekend. But they actually make it work. It still is only from Lucy's POV but I don't mind it at all. This book made me so happy. Everything just came full circle and was a boat load of awesome.
Female Lead: 5/5; Lucy completely redeemed herself in this book. She finally got over her shit and was there for Jude whenever he needed her. The time when I decided that she was completely awesome was when she called Jude after she quit. And then she reinforced that idea when she texted him before she went to the hospital. Now thats what I call being in a relationship with someone. Thank god she figured that out. And even though it made the HEA farther away, I understood and respected her need to finish out school and work for herself. She had her goals and she didn't just throw them away at the first glimpse of money. She knew that money didn't have any hold on happiness and that made her one of my favorite heroines. Even more than that, I love how the ending worked for her too. And her decision about that big thing that happened. Kudos to her.
Male Lead: 6/5; This poor guy. Despite being completely hot headed and possessive, he's so freaking patient with Lucy. Nearly everything the guy does is in some way an attempt to make Lucy happy and he's constantly getting shit for it. I mean, yeah, he's not doing it completely the sane way but his intentions are always pure. And then theres the engagement. All the poor guy wants is to get married. Is that such a hard thing to ask for since you're already engaged?! Like I said, so freaking patient. Anyways, Jude Ryder has become one of my favorite book boyfriends. He was crazy overprotective and possessive and a hot head but damn if he wasn't loyal as hell. Not once in any of the three books did he do anything that made me really mad at him. Or even a little mad at him. Wait, no, I was a little bit mad at him this book when he just straight up disappeared. But he redeemed himself. He just melted my heart. Between the bouts of big headed-ness and vulnerability I was a goner.
Relationship: 5/5; Finally, they are working together in this book to figure their shit out instead of running away and being alone. I mean, they're on opposite ends of the country so it would be pretty hard to run away any further but despite the distance they make shit work. And they're there for each other when it truly matters. Their relationship gave me so many happy feels. They are so good together. Soooo much like Travis and Abby.
Supporting Characters: 5/5; Loved every single one of the supporting characters. Well, other than Anton (stupid bull headed idiot). The problem with Anton was that he truly was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even though he was a stupid bull headed idiot if he were the main character in another book I totally would love him. He's just oozing with confidence that was unfortunately directed at one of my favorite book boyfriend's fiance, making me despise him for trying to ruin their HEA. It made me so happy when Holly became a bigger character because I just love her. And I loved how Thomas went from 'Peter Pan' to being practically a part of their family. Seeing the little unraveling of their romance was super cute.
Ending: 5/5; The very end of the book gives you a fast forward to year later and it's so freaking cute. I couldn't have chosen a better was to end the book. And after all the crap they went through I was so happy for them. I also really appreciated the fact that the author added the bit about Holly and Thomas. I was totally rooting for them. Anyways this HEA made the series completely worth all the ups and down of Jude and Lucy's relationship. One of my favorite series :)
