I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Extremely well written and paced. I went into it knowing nothing of the original epic which I think only added to my enjoyment...the not knowing of what would happen next. There was a lot in here to ruminate on particularly on the role of women in society. Overall, a very enjoyable reading experience that I would highly recommend. I'm going to have to read the Ramayana now!
