Written In The Stars

I was... disappointed in this, considering the rave reviews. It was the third book I read in the latter half of the week while sick and stuck at home, and it was definitely enjoyable enough to get through. But it didn't strike me in any other way.
The overall plot (with fake dating, skeptic x dreamer, and sapphic romance) had great potential. I liked Darcy a lot. I found Elle mostly very sweet. But I couldn't handle the level of astrology in this book, nor the extremely millennial way of speaking, nor how the two often tied together. I say this as a millennial. I couldn't handle it. I also couldn't handle the most contrived (view spoiler) I have ever read. It was unbelievable and unrealistic and really disappointing after the more fun parts of the book had things looking up for me!
The smut was good. There were some very sweet scenes. That's about it.
