Virgin Sacrifice by L.M. Ramirez

3.0

Having received an advance copy of this book to review was a blessing! Although I wasn't hooked from the start, I was fascinated with the conclusion! I was curious about Luz's secrets from the start. I was astounded when I finally discovered what they were. The world-building in this novel is amazing, and the writing is beautifully done. Although I would have preferred more heat, the twins' antics and Luz's games satisfied my hunger. That, I believe, was the only negative aspect this book had to offer. Despite being marketed as a why-choose novel, there was no romance in it. However, the romance will, as the author has assured us all, appear in the second novel. So I like to think of this book as just part one! With that cliffhanger, I am excited to see how the story unfolds in the second book. Congrats on your debut book, L.M. Ramirez, keep it up!

“Girls were trained to be nice, to stay in dangerous situations because it was more important to be polite than it was to be safe. It got them killed. Nice girls were dead girls.”
