The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
4.0

I LOVE THESE BOOKS. Mia is the funniest character I've read since Junie B. Jones. She cracked me up the entire book! Not only that, she's also super awkward which makes her very relatable. Her inner ramblings hit close to home. I like how when she has a problem, she talks it out with others and then she writes about it, which allows her to fully understand her decision making process. I love the lesson this teaches to kids who have a hard time communicating with their parents. Sometimes it helps to write down what you're feeling and thinking so that you're not holding it in all the time. The warnings I would put on this book would be some inappropriate subject matter regarding sex.
