This cozy fantasy trilogy is a true comfort world for me. Aside from the tea, mystery magical realm, and dragons, these books shine in allowing readers to watch Miyara process events and emotionally grow in real time. The political backdrop and double entendre dialogue make reading Miyara’s internal monologue interesting, though sometimes I found myself wishing for more world building and fewer reflections. This book felt like the slowest of the three despite having the highest stakes. Nevertheless, Blair does an excellent job of bringing all the pieces of this story together for a satisfying close, and everyone in Miyara’s family and community shows character development that makes you hopeful for their futures.
