Hotel Ruby by Suzanne Young

4.0

wow. This book was a crazy ride. I'm happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Audrey, her brother Daniel, and her father are on a car ride to move in with their grandmother after their mother's death in hopes of a new start for the family. Before they reach their destination, they arrive and the Hotel Ruby, where the family becomes entranced with the hotel and the people within it. Audrey begins to realize that the staff aren't who they appear to be, and begins to question what is going on in the infamous Ruby. This book was exciting and nothing like I've ever read before. I definitely got American Horror Story: Hotel vibes while reading this. The biggest flaw I saw in this book was the quick wrap up of the ending. I think that the author definitely could've added a couple more chapters to further explain the details and revelations. Overall, I flew through this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mysterious young adult novel.
