This is absolutely a summer book, about a young woman who has left her stifling small island for a career in the city, only to be drawn back to the island and confront family issues, deal with her too-strong feelings for her boss, and reconsider what it means to be successful. There are descriptions of fantasy-level simple food (and recipes), and really great descriptions of the Isle of Mure, which is a fictionalized version of far-northern Scottish Isles. Escapism in a quietly beautiful place.
