i'm soooo undecided on this series. i love it yet it also infuriates me at the same time. there's just way too many tropes and plot points that feel so heavy handed and overly melodramatic that it is borderline nauseating. the miscommunication/misrepresentation trope is HEAVY thick in a way that's overbearing and just eye roll inducing at times.
this was the first book i was really like !! oh!! ?? after THAT major plot point happened around the middle or so and i was fucking hooked. but, even then there were still a few moments I groaned at --however that may just be how i am with the series. lol the simultaneous enjoyment and just wanting to shake every character in the book.
i AM enjoying it and will continue reading but i'm hoping a few things fall into place for the rest of the series or i may end up disappointed with how it turns out.
