This book was drop dead amazing, and exceeded my expectations so far. I literally read it in one night. No sleep, just read.

The story follows Alosa, daughter of the pirate king (what?!), as she sneaks aboard an enemy ship in the role of a prisoner so that she can find a piece of a treasure map for her father. She's a cunning, scheming, takes-no-crap but flirty when she needs to be girl--a straight up Slytherin main character--who ends up trusting one of the crew mates on the enemy ship, the first mate Riden.

Riden is a pirate who might be a little too empathetic and trusting to be a pirate, but omygodheshot. He's so well written, I fell in love with him. And his brother, the captain of their dead father's ship, Draxen...? I loved him, too. I LOVE HIM AND I LOVE ALL OF THEM AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK.

You will too if you like:

x slytherin female MC
x bad girl x good guy (kind of)
x rivals to lovers
x ARGUMENT TURNS TO KISSING TROPE (best trope)
x betrayals and secrets
x one bed !!!

And there's a sequel...
