The Extraordinary Life of Sam Hell by Robert Dugoni

3.0

Oh Sam Hell.
I really really really wanted to love you. I tried and didn't succeed.

Don't get me wrong. You were unique, with your devil eyes and your Mamma who believed in miracles and you. You had best friends like Ernie and Mickie who stood by you through thick and thin, through the bullies and the callous people who tried to hurt you the whole time you were growing up.

But you see thats the problem.

The supporting cast was waaaay more fun, interesting than you. You mostly reacted to situations and coincidentally got too many lucky breaks that made me realise you didn't really have to do much in order to reach where you eventually reached.

I love happy endings as much as the next person and I'm so glad you kinda got yours but you took a rather long route with too many conveniences to help aide your cause to get there. That was the truly 'Extraordinary' part of your story.

Pardon me for not taking the popular opinion route of praising you to the skies. To me your life wasn't so 'Extraordinary' as much as 'Rather unbelievable'.
