Vineland by Thomas Pynchon
4.0

Several characters have a tendency to disappear from sight, an entirely insane yet painfully familiar alternate reality is invented, and I'm oh so very confused after attempting to understand this mildly insane novel. There's paranoia, conspiracies, betrayal, reconciliation and redemption, sex, hippies, feds, and nostalgia; there's cultural references, accents, activism, and the ever looming presence of "the man". A wild ride for sure.
