sorry but i don’t want to hear a privileged upper middle class person give occasional lukewarm takes about conservation while renting houseboats in the jungle and sending your students octopus hunting. this book had me physically rolling my eyes smh
(also minor gripe but as someone who has worked in the zoo industry and has actually worked with people who have worked at the ga aquarium (and been there multiple times myself) the lack of research in this book in general and the anti-aquarium/zoo sentiment really had me gripping the pages of this book. if ur gonna write about how sad the whale sharks are at the ga aquarium at least do some research before you go around spreading false info abt how they would be better off in the wild...can you tell people like this get me heated)
