Over the Top: A Raw Journey to Self-Love
by Jonathan Van Ness
Pretty sure this is my first memoir from someone I am familiar with. Like the title said, it was really a raw journey. Obviously there is always more to a person than their tv personality, but I'm blown away by how much JVN went through. Their point of writing this memoir was to show that they also have parts that weren't all glamorous as their personality on Queer Eye. Seeing how their life led to Queer Eye was heartfelt. They worked hard to be in the place they're in now.
Life gives you millions of opportunities to fuck it all up, but it doesn't excuse you from trying again or working towards your best self.
