This was my first read from this author... I have been eyeing up her Veronica Speedwell series but haven't taken the dive yet. I picked this one up from BOTM and I was not disappointed.

This premise sounded like something I could definitely get invested in. I will say that this novel moved fairly slow. There was some pacing issues I had, as the beginning started out decent with action almost right away but then slowed down to next to nothing. This caused me to feel like there was a dry spot, the information given was helpful and useful but because it started out with a bang it felt like it should be that way the whole way through.

The characters in here were all different however there voices in the story sometimes ran together so I didn't know who I was reading about or from. This caused some slight confusion on my part. The strong women in this book were a force to be reckoned with though and that made me happy. I definitely know some elderly women like this and it's not talked about nearly enough.

Overall I had a good reading experience and would recommend this book. It's not going to be for everyone but I think that if you can get past the pacing issues than you would really enjoy this read!!!
