This is a beautiful story and a true tale of love in modern times. Rob Sheffield looks at music as more than just his soundtrack - it's another part of his life. Music brings has the power to bring us back to different memories and Sheffield tells us the story about how he met, married and ultimately lost the love of his life through the music of the times. Sheffield describes his love for music and Renée with such ease that it makes your heart hurt that people have to go through any sort of loss. He has the most beautiful way with words and you can feel his heartbeat jump off the page, one emotion filled sentence after another. Sheffield reminds us how easy it is to tie a song to a memory - a first kiss, a car ride or even an afternoon in a garage.
