Before and Again by Barbara Delinsky
4.0
I listened to this one as an audiobook. Delinsky writes a story of processing grief, starting over, and facing the past. Set in small-town Vermont, the characters and setting are charming. However, their charmed life is quickly disrupted when the town is filled with federal officers and figures from Mackenzie's past that she never thought she'd see again. I love how Delinsky connects the way Mackenzie works with makeup to how she works with pottery, and how both help her to process what's happening in her life. There were a few sections that were PG-13, and while I am over 13, I fast-forwarded through those sections and I would not recommend this book to young readers. Overall, though, a great story.
