Ringworld by Larry Niven
3.0
I'm glad I read Rngworld because it is a "classic" of science fiction, but it is dated. Very very dated. I was intrigued by Nessus and the Puppeteers, but the relationship between Louis and Teela (he's 200, she's 20 and a descendant of an old girlfriend of his) is creepy, cringe worthy, and sexist. The character development isn't great to begin with, but it is especially lacking with the female characters. The plot got dull and too science-y toward the end, and there was too much gratuitous sex.
I'm interested to see how the discussion with my book club goes.
