Well, that was definitely a book. Could have been worse, could have been better. Supposedly a Donner Bakery book, but they spent more time at church functions and talking about church than they did baking. Boy, did they spend a lot of time talking about church! I guess if you want to read a book about the oppression of performatively religious Southern small towns weaponized against a woman making the entirely reasonable decision to divorce her cheating-ass husband, this book would scratch your itch. Chris Brinkley’s narration is superb as always.
