I can see why this book gets such mixed reviews. I ended up liking Blue Sisters, though it took me a bit to get into it. I started with the audiobook and almost gave up on it. I realised the issue wasn’t the story itself, but the narrator. Once I switched to the physical book, the writing worked so much better for me, and I actually connected with the characters.
The book is definitely more about the characters than the plot, so if you're someone who needs a lot of action or twists to stay engaged, this might not be the book for you. But if you enjoy getting into the heads of complicated, flawed people and watching their relationships shift and unravel, there’s a lot to appreciate here.
