Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find—and Keep—Love by Amir Levine

3.0

Three stars because I imagine this could be helpful for someone completely in the dark on attachment theory. As someone who's been in therapy for a little while, it didn't really offer anything new for me.

It's also, frankly, boring, and repetitively loaded with stereotypical examples of interactions between anxious and avoidant characters. Which, again, I suppose would be helpful if you had no prior context and really needed help grasping the concepts... But, for me, it was overkill and didn't offer a ton of value.

The most helpful parts of the book were the sections on understanding your protest behaviors and moving into effective communication and what that looks like.
