The Monster of Florence by Douglas Preston
4.0
Oh dang, I really enjoyed this book!
I'm not even into crime stories all that much, but this was captivating. If you like history, literature, or true crime, this is the book for you.
I can't even really think of a good synopsis because there's so much going on. It's simultaneously the history of and hunt for a serial killer, a glimpse into Italy's criminal justice system, and a depiction of how an unsolved mystery of this magnitude has shaped present-day Florence.
