Queen of roses was a fun time, well not fun in so much as Morgan the fmc is hiding her natural born traits for fear of her brother, the king, and the kingdom exiling her or worse. 

This is a arthurian retelling from the pov of Morgan who wants to be a knight but instead gets sent on a pilgrimage filled with peril. Can she trust the man sent to protect her and will she find out her true heritage?

I enjoyed Briar's writing style and immediately downloaded the next book in the series. 

The characters have development and potential for more as the series continues. Nothing ground breaking but a solid read.
