Mostly Harmless
by Douglas Adams
The book had a fairly weird start and what seemed like an in-depth description of Trillian's life and character, later turned out be a Trillian in a parallel universe. To be honest this book pretty much sucked. The ending was stupid and not at all something anybody would have expected. I personally believe Random was just well random. Ford Prefect's action was no doubt sensational and if I am not wrong, Ford Prefect was at his culmination(?) in this book. Arthur Dents desperateness in start is pitiful but after such a start I was really looking forward to an ending on a high note but there was none. There was no Zaphod Beeblebrox. I mean for the sake of everything that is holy where the heck is he? Also the 'main' Trillians character has been made 'mean' for no apparent reason. The Guide was an ingenious idea though and the Vogons are more or less the main antagonist in whole story. Lastly, there was also no Marvin but then there was his alter-ego Colin who did a pretty great job.
