this is one of those books i wish was required reading in high school/college!!!!!! i enjoyed that even though i've read a few feminist texts, this still introduced new perspectives for me. i think some parts might be a bit cliche just because it all has to round back up to the main thesis of getting white feminists to advocate for marginalized communities, but i think that's given with any persuasive feminist text. this is also accessible enough for the average reader—not too academic to intimidate you to not read it. i understand the hype and very much agree! my copy is full of bookmarked spots that really made me reflect.
