I wanted a wholesome and cozy story, and I got that, but something was missing.
I loved the setting of this novella. It was so atmospheric. I did enjoy this world where humans became better and started caring for the planet they're living in.
There isn't much of a plot, it's just Dex and Mosscap walking and talking. I expected more from Dex and Mosscap's relationship, more depth. The conversations they had felt like it was just surface level stuff, and not things that stop you on your track and make you contemplate about what's being said.
It was a fluffy, and easy read. I'll probably read the second one when I'm in the mood for a palate cleanser.
