The Half-Life of Love by Brianna Bourne

5.0

“I don’t know that grieving always means crying.”

Flint has 41 days, 9 hours and 42 minutes left to live. He’s known since he was eight years old when his death day would be when his half-life seizure occurred. Now he and his parents have moved back to his hometown to live out the last of his days there, keeping anything enjoyable out of his life so that death will seem like a relief. When Flint meets September, everything changes. Shes dealing with a grief of her own, but in a way that no one knows. She keeps a happy face on while working towards finding a cure for the half-life at the institute she works at. Flint can’t seem to tell September he’s dying and she won’t share she’s already experienced a death day of her own.

Why aren't more people talking about this novel?! Perfection. This YA book by @brianna_bourne_writes was everything I wanted and more. Fans of They Both Die at the End and Five Feet Apart will devour this one just as I did. Bring tissues—I bawled most of the novel!

CW: grief, death, depression, hospitalization, child death
