Love, love, love this book. Some sad things happen...of course why wouldn't they. It takes place in slavery/plantation times. If you can handle that part, very well written. Told beautifully through the voices of the characters...primarily two. Slow in parts but so well written you just want to keep going to find out what happens. I found myself cheering for a character in one moment and then wanting to scream at the same character the next moment. Bravo Ms. Grissom for drawing me in. I would highly recommend to all.
