This is probably one of the best books I have read. Incredibly touching.
Edit: I’m writing this many years later, after the Netflix series has given this book a bad reputation. I would like to try to ignore the fact that the TV show has turned a wonderfully written novel into a high school soap opera. It’s a shame that the portrayal of this novel on the big screen has soiled my good memories of this book.
