Half the Battle by Elle Thorpe

Damn things are going down in this book!

Ok so the plot line hasn’t really moved along, except for the last 20% when Vincent/Scythe makes his confession to Bliss and War. However, the character development was top notch!

We learn about why Nash was in jail, we learn more about Bliss’ mom and her life, we also know someone is after either War or Vincent/Scythe.

We have barely touched on the actual RH side of things, in this one we get MM action and MMF but we are yet to have them all together or all having sex. I’m hoping we see a lot of this in the last book but from that cliffhanger it looks like they all wont be around to enjoy it together.

The smut/spice was just as good, if not better, than the previous book.

I’m sad we didn’t get some more of Vincent, even if it was just talking to Scythe in their head. We got a few snippets but then as Scythe mentions he has gone very quiet and I’m wondering if this was done on purpose or if it was done because the author couldn’t work out how to bring Vincent back into it. I’m worried that we won’t see Vincent again and we will end up with Scythe permanently. I don’t mind Scythe, but I liked how Vincent was a different to War and Nash whereas Scythe is like a mix between the two of them.

It was interesting having the one chapter from Caleb’s POV however we don’t actually see what he does to get back at Vincent/Scythe and Bliss. It’s clear he spilled everything to Vincent’s old prison warden but maybe we could have seen this one too as one chapter from him seemed totally random and didn’t fit with the flow of the book. Maybe I’d of preferred to just see them get Scythe at the end and not know how they found him and then it be revealed in the last book? I don’t know it just felt odd having one random Caleb chapter amongst the others.
