A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

4.0

The bold writing style, troubled (to say the least) narrator, and the moral quandaries of this book really sell it for me. The violence made it difficult to get through, and just when I thought Alex couldn’t outdo himself, he did. The Nadsat language was so unlike anything I’ve read before and I think is a big part of what makes this book iconic.
