A Good Book by Jewel E. Ann

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

The final Jacobson sister book is here and it's a good one! I have to admit I wasn't so sure about it at first. Gabby was a lot. She was definitely the baby of the family who grew up in the aftermath of her sisters' mistakes/rebellions who thought she was the best of the bunch. She was immature at nineteen years old and judgmental from her upbringing. Gabby also had a HUGE years long crush on Sarah's ex-boyfriend Matt. That made me cringe a lot - especially when her best friend Ben was waiting for her to notice how he felt for her. I was so happy when the kiss they shared had her questioning things.

Ben was a great guy and friend. When he left college, I worried about him right along with Gabby. I loved Ben's moments of honesty with Gabby because she needed those as much as she needed to be there for him. I wasn't exactly expecting a couple of the things that happened, but I liked how they made both Gabby and Ben realize a lot of things and become stronger together.

As always, I loved the side characters. Eve and Sarah were there to offer Gabby some great advice. Tilly, Ben's sister, was a force and I also loved his parents. Pastor and Mrs. Jacobson even managed to surprise me. I know this is the last book for the sisters, but I would LOVE for Matt to get a book. Maybe with someone whose name starts with a J? Even if that doesn't happen, I will be satisfied with how this series ended.
