I am one of those that enjoy Harry Styles's music and his social media apparitions, and when I came across this news, I had to read this book so bad!
I read this book because of Harry Styles, and the reason is simple: a movie is coming, and Harry Styles will be in it! There are only five characters in total (around that based on the book), and he is most likely gonna play Tom or Patrick! The novel gave me some Brokeback Mountain vibes or maybe even some Call Me by Your Name glimpses, but the story is not like that at all!
It is being told from Marion and Patrick’s point of view and how their lives are destroyed by their wrong choices and by how patriarchy refuses everything but straight love and lives. Not the best, not the worst, but with the right punches to make you think by the end of the novel.
An incredible introspection on how we are all victims and victimizers, and that many decisions and actions will weigh on us for all our lives.
