I was not expecting a lot from this book, which seemed to be written too soon to the 2016 election, but it turned out to be a fascinating look at the almost circus-like 2016 Trump campaign.

Tur is able to keep a good narrative of the travails of covering a crazy campaign without getting bogged down into the minutiae of television news. She doesn't try to explain just how Trump was able to pull out his win last year, but she does portray his supporters as being almost fanatical in their loyalty.

I don't know if I would have been able to take covering the Trump campaign for more than a day. Tur covered Trump for 510 days, almost without a day off. And yet she appears to still to be sane.
