A Captivating Mystery With Magic, History, and a Romance I Can’t Get Enough Of
I am absolutely loving this series (The Glass Library), and The Medici Manuscript is another standout installment! C.J. Archer has a real talent for blending historical intrigue with magic, mystery, and a slow-burn romance that has me completely hooked.
Sylvia and Gabe are such a great pair. I adore how their connection is developing—there’s so much chemistry between them, and watching their relationship slowly evolve is just as satisfying as the mystery itself. Sylvia continues to grow more confident, especially with Gabe by her side, and I’m loving seeing her come into her own.
The mystery this time centers around a magical manuscript tied to the Medici family, and I was fully invested in the twists and turns as they tried to unravel its secrets. The stakes feel higher than ever with both the book being stolen and someone targeting Gabe. It added tension and urgency that kept me turning pages late into the night.
As always, the supporting characters are quirky, clever, and completely loveable. They add so much warmth and humor to the story—I’d happily read a spin-off about any one of them.
If you enjoy smart historical mysteries with a magical twist, endearing characters, and a simmering romance, The Medici Manuscript delivers on every front. I can’t wait to see where Gabe and Sylvia’s story goes next!
