This one started off a bit slow for me. I always struggle with books that are focused on a long journey, because I know where it’s headed and I just want to hurry up and get there. But once it got there, it was worth the wait. We get several great new side characters here, a twist that I thought I saw coming but was actually much twistier than expected, and we get to visit new parts of the world from the first book. This definitely felt like a filler book between two key parts of the series, but it’s got a lot working for it still.
