Gorgeous from start to finish, this book sketches a heart breaking, intergenerational story about resilience and the way our past traumas and scars get passed on, along with our gifts. The magical realism is very well done and subtle and all the protagonists are incredibly well written. Genuinely made me feel connected to someone from the 1600s so you know this book has heart lol
