Medical clinical documentation specialist Elizabeth May has been running away from her past since she was a teenager. She experienced a traumatic event during that time and has been hiding using variations of her name for each job, trying to keep her name private. She has worked as a traveling nurse and now works from home in the California Bay Area. Her biggest problem now is that she doesn’t want to move any more; she wants to have a home, but someone seems to have finally found her.

I thought this was a quick, fun read. There was a storyline that seemed to disappear, but overall, I enjoyed this one.

“The lies I tell aren’t for fun. They’re meant to protect me. To control the uncontrollable: other people. I want to decide how they view me, what they know, what they’ll never know.” Ch 18

“They took truth away from me. They took my mind, my memories, my voice.” Ch 25
