The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent

5.0

I can’t do this anymore, this is probably the best enemies to lovers I’ve ever read. When they say Sarah J Maas walked so this masterpiece could run, believe them. When I die, my last thought will be about this book, my last wish will be to be buried with this book.

Spoilers?

Oraya is the best female lead I’ve read about in a long time, from the beginning on we see her both strong and weak, see that every strong person is just as weak as everyone else. I love her so much, I can relate really well to her struggles, especially her fears, she became a real person over the book and I cried my eyes out for her. I wish I could hug her.

Raihn my man, this guy seemed like the 0315 fantasy guy, all wings, charisma, sarcasm and some strange power. But he is so much more, I loved how we only learned his story towards the end of the book, it made him even more interesting. Even tho I don’t know if i can trust him, I do feel like I know him.

Vincent, at first I thought he will cure my daddy issues but nuh uh. I love how we saw him through Orayas eyes the whole time, he always seemed like a hero to me, I never questioned it until Oraya did. I don’t think of him as the villain and I love that too, like I don’t even know who the villain is in this story?

Mische, oh my dear Mische, she reminds me so much of Mor, she really made a difference in this book, especially when it comes to trusting Raihn. I hope we learn more about her, her story shouldn’t be over yet.

I hope we learn more about the magic system in book two, I have no clue about that stuff, also hope for more back story about the kingdom stuff.

I’m dying to read part two but that sadly has to wait :(
