The Witch of Portobello
by Paulo Coelho
I started this two months ago and lost interest. But I only had about 30 pages, so I finished it last night and I'm glad I did. It's a philosophical novel about the feminine side of divinity (the Goddess or "Great Mother.") I felt the story was a bit weak but the message is interesting and the ending has a nice twist. I like this quote: "Love is not a habit, a commitment, or a debt. It isn't what romantic songs tell us it is -- love simply is."
