Night of the Mannequins by Stephen Graham Jones

5.0

I was saving this one for a day where I could read it in one sitting which is exactly what I did. SGJ's writing style gels so well with me now that I flew through this shorter work (novella?) in no time at all. I went into this one pretty much blind but figured it had to do with a killer mannequin of some kind. I was perhaps picturing the first episode of the rebooted Doctor Who, haha. It isn't like that at all and actually had a bit more to say on mental health than I thought. Really great premise and even in the short amount of pages I felt the friendship these characters had for each other. It's a slasher. It's Stephen Graham Jones. Read it.
