The Man Who Laughs by Victor Hugo
4.0
I loved this book. However, it was filled with a lot of unnecessary extras. like it's probably 20 pages worth of describing the fact that Gwynplaine and Dea loved each other and were soul mates. (We get it!!!) And i could care less of all the Barons, Dukes, etc., names and titles if they aren't apart of the storyline. But with that said, I think it was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this book. Just know you're in for a ride. There's also a silent film made in the 1920s that I also watched after i read the book. It was a little different and of course the book is wayyyyy better, but i really enjoyed the visuals and it wasn't far off from what i imagined.
