Lead Me Knot by S.L. Scott
3.0

While this was the second book in the series, it worked well as a standalone—you don’t need to have read book one to follow along. The romance starts with a one-night stand, and though there’s a mention of a deeper connection forming before that night, we don’t really see much of it. There’s little buildup or flashbacks to help us understand why the characters feel so strongly about each other, which made it harder to fully invest in their relationship.

There were some challenges they faced, but most of the conflict came down to communication issues rather than any major plot twists.

Overall, I liked the book. It was a typical sweet and spicy romance—pleasant, but nothing particularly standout or unique.
