4.5/5 stars for finding a new trope that I actually surprised myself by enjoying so much. Sooooooo I think I’m obsessed with forbidden romances now?! 😫 Some forbidden romance/enemies to lovers, and similar tropes can have down right abusive men and I find that hard to enjoy. I think there's a toxicity line that I'm not willing to cross.. LOL. But Pike has the perfect amount of over-protectiveness and jealousy for me. If you do not enjoy age gaps, you won't like this book. I tend to be okay with it so long as both people are consenting adults and it doesn't occur under any sort of guilt trip/threatening environment. Overall thought the story of this book was lovely. Definitely VERY steamy.
