Wow. This was really long. I forgot what it was like to read a novel that had a proper beginning, middle, and end.

The second half was more interesting, but the pace overall was quite slow. The scariest I found this was when I read it late at night on a walk and fog rolled in. Proper spooky. Otherwise it was tame.

I also didnā€™t realize Van Helping was a doctor and not a hunter. Huh the things you learn wrong through osmosis.

Iā€™m glad to have read it. But would only recommend if you like the classics.
