My Kind of People

Okay, I feel bad rating 4 stars because I honestly loved reading this. Critically, it’s about 3. In terms of enjoyment, honestly 5! This is definitely a book for 50 year old mothers in a book club but maybe it was the simplistic Desperate Housewives type beat that I needed. Pretty predictable and cheesy at times but it was just so easy to enjoy and written in a way that makes you fly through it like binge watching comforting old TV show. Great twist at the end, maybe other readers realised it first but I was fooled by the fake trick early on that made me think I was onto it all. Just cute and nice and stupid really. Nothing to recommend or show off about having read but just a nice book to come home to.
