She Must Be Mad by Charly Cox

dark reflective fast-paced

3.0

It just felt like it was dealing with really dark and emotional themes in a sort of superficial way? It just read like notes app poetry, cause I feel like it was not given that much thought to the emotional impact rather than being written to fit an aesthetic. It was probably very empowering for the author, it just did not resonate that much with me, although it seemed like it could've according to the themes explored in this collection. Some poems were really strong though, and I especially liked "I wish I'd not spent as long crying in bed", "All I wanted was some toast" and "Seaweed"
