Becoming by Michelle Obama
5.0
Very frank and open
Mrs. Obama narrated a very frank and open biographic story of her life. Her telling of her own life from early childhood, the relationship she has with her family and the effects of the deaths of her Aunt Robbie and father had on her is very heart-wrenching. Her family is a very lose and loving one. Her education is the key to her success. I like how she and the president met and how she was hesitant where he was concerned, after all, she was his boss. She does not pretend to have a perfect marriage with her husband but admits that it is strongly based on open communication and compromise and most of all love. Her dislike for politics was placed in the background so that her husband could achieve his goal even though it took its toll on her and their girls.
