TW: mention of attempted suicide

The romance was lovely. I love the idea of a growing love over time, rather than an instant burning passion. Their love simmered and slowly crescendoed in to something beautiful, and I’m just going to assume long-lasting. I am also obsessed with how they supported each other in trying times. To me, that unfailing support is one of the biggest gestures of love a person can give.

Something else I really enjoyed about the book was how the characters dealt with guilt and shame in their lives. Those feelings are self-imposed, but can be really debilitating in your life. They can prevent you from living and seeing the beauty of life. I loved how the characters dealt with those feelings within themselves.

Great read.
